From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. this past January 22, we hosted a brunch at Pizza Pasta Franca to celebrate the relaunch of our printed edition in the beautiful Mexico City, while also commemorating our 10 years as an independent publication.
Surrounded by collaborators, models, content creators, influencers, heads of modeling agencies, stylists, makeup artists, and more, we enjoyed a morning filled with networking and sharing ideas to create even more. This relaunch brunch was a private event for guests who have been part of our journey in one way or another—whether as sponsors or collaborators.
At Pizza Pasta Franca , we were warmly welcomed with delicious café de olla, sweet cream-topped rosca, homemade Argentine alfajores, and a selection of pastries. Once more guests arrived (because let’s face it, punctuality isn’t a strong suit for most people in Mexico), head chef Ariel Guevara began preparing freshly made pizzas with Pizza Pasta Franca’s original recipes. Around 11:30 a.m., everyone began sampling the creations, starting with the La ocho quesos (my personal favorite), followed by Boloñesa, Santa Sabina, and an intriguing hybrid pizza Ariel improvised on the spot for our guests, who couldn’t get enough of these culinary delights.
These highlights from Pizza Pasta Franca’s menu were paired with something truly unique: Mezcal Mitre Origen Tamborines. This new collaboration between Mezcal Mitre and Tamborines offers a flavor profile perfect for those seeking a less intense experience. It’s a testament to how our Mexican traditions don’t remain as memories but come alive through bold, unconventional, and fun experiments, such as this mezcal with hints of tamarind and chili.
Another sponsor making an appearance was Delauney, offering hair care kits—including shampoo and conditioner—to the first 15 attendees who asked for them directly from the brand’s owner, even if they didn’t know who she was. This clever dynamic sparked conversation and offered some valuable insights about how the product was perceived.
The atmosphere was delightful, warm, and full of creativity. Everyone had a wonderful time chatting, connecting, networking, and even brainstorming for future issues of the magazine. I can only express my gratitude to the brands and all the amazing people who joined us to celebrate the relaunch of this edition you’re now holding in your hands.
